ENRICH THE LIVES OF OLDER ADULTS IN GREENWICH
Become a Friend of The Wallace Center
Join us in our mission to support vibrant living and purposeful aging in the Town of Greenwich.
By volunteering your time, sharing your skills, or providing in-kind or monetary support, you can make a meaningful difference in the lives of older adults in our community.
Wallace Center Members & Volunteers Give Back
Whether portioning rice, beans, diapers, laundry detergent pods, or hygiene products, Wallace Center members turn out in force to support Neighbor to Neighbor Pack-A-Thons. Many older adults want to volunteer in ways that are both meaningful and impactful and these events provide just that opportunity.
By volunteering at the Wallace Center, members can assist a local nonprofit while enjoying the comfort of a familiar setting and the camaraderie of their peers. Together, they make a real difference for neighbors in need.

Handwritten Happiness
Every month, volunteers Stephanie Thompson and Meg McCauley Kaicher write hundreds of birthday cards for Wallace Center members, complete with invitations to a monthly birthday celebration. For some, it’s the first card they’ve received in years, bringing smiles, connection and a little extra joy.
Thanks to volunteers like Stephanie and Meg, the Wallace Center truly feels like family. Friends of the Wallace Center generously provide funding for the thousands of birthday cards sent each year.
Making Celebrations Shine
From tablecloths and centerpieces to raffle baskets, musical entertainment and party extras—Friends of the Wallace Center helps cover costs that make our special events truly memorable. Their support ensures every celebration pops and brings joy to all who attend.
