Anne Marie Hynes, Esq.

Board Member

Anne Marie Hynes has dedicated more than 30 years to community service across Greenwich, Westchester, and New York City. As President of the Hynes Foundation, she has supported initiatives in education, healthcare, and the performing arts, while also championing expanded opportunities in technology for young women. In addition, Anne Marie has provided direct legal advocacy for women in need, reflecting her longstanding commitment to advancing the well-being of women at all stages of life.

Anne Marie’s early work focused on providing legal support to victims of domestic violence in Westchester courts. As her community involvement grew, she expanded her advocacy to include older adults, serving on the boards of River House Adult Day Care and the Commission on Aging. These roles deepened her understanding of the challenges facing Greenwich seniors. She has also volunteered as a Medicare counselor, assisting older adults with Medicare and Part D enrollment—an experience she considers especially rewarding.

Through the Hynes Foundation, Anne Marie has helped expand educational opportunity by providing scholarships to students at two Bronx high schools and by establishing the Hynes Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Iona University, a program that continues to thrive. Her contributions have been recognized with several honors, including the Leadership Award from the Pace Women’s Justice Center (2015) and induction into the Academy of Mount St. Ursula Hall of Fame (2025–2026).

Anne Marie’s current board service includes the Commission on Aging; the Friends of the Wallace Center, where she previously served as Chair; the Greenwich Choral Society, where she is Past Chair and 2025 Centennial Co-Chair; the Hynes Institute for Entrepreneurship Advisory Board; and Calvary Hospital in the Bronx. Her past board roles include the Academy of Mount St. Ursula and River House.
