Maria DeLisi Ward

While born and raised in The Bronx, New York, Maria has called Greenwich, CT home since 2007.

Maria is currently a realtor with Compass in Greenwich. Her passion for real estate and her desire to work hard were ingrained in her thanks to her immigrant parents from southern Italy, who pursued their American dream by investing in real estate and running the family business.

A graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology, Maria had a 30-plus-year successful career as a swimwear designer and merchandiser, responsible for developing multi-million-dollar private label programs. Traveling the world cultivated her creativity, while working with factories in Asia honed her shrewd negotiating skills. Her past experience in strict adherence to timing and deadlines, finesse in managing cost constraints, ability to conceive compelling on-trend products, and strong analytical and negotiating skills now fuel her current success in real estate.

Maria and her husband Keith, a lifelong Greenwich resident, live in Cos Cob with their rescue dogs, Cooper and Jasmine. They have three adult children: Isabella, Ryan, and Max.

Maria is a former board member of Highwater Women, the first organization to provide filled back-to-school backpacks to 50,000 NYC children. She personally spearheaded the expansion of the backpack drive to serve Greenwich and Stamford children.

She is also a former chairwoman of Patient Airlift Services’ annual drive to raise funds for air transport for patients needing lifesaving care. Maria has co-chaired the Bruce Museum annual gala as well as the Boys & Girls Club of Greenwich.

Maria is a member of The Stanwich Club and Apogee Golf Club, where she enjoys playing golf with friends, family, and clients.
